We won't be beat! About our propellers ... Elongation: this concept refers to how much the material is “deformed” by adding gradually strength (tensile strength) just before it “brakes” such material. In this case, we use test bars adding this tensile strength to the different materials (alloys) until it brakes, then we measure the length on the test bar material after it brakes, such difference on length of the material before and after it brakes refers to elongation (how “malleable” the material is). We may conclude that the more elongation has a material the better way to repair such propeller’s material is (you can straighten back again in case of a bent blade). Aqualloy has the highest percentage of elongation in comparison to the other alloys at 80,000 PSI of tensile strength.
